The rooftop of Westerwelle Startup Haus came alive during the latest edition of Shamba Night, a vibrant gathering that blended youth, art, music, and specialty coffee under the Kigali stars. Organized by Shamba, a coffee-driven creative platform, the event brought together an eclectic crowd of artists, music lovers, entrepreneurs, and coffee enthusiasts to celebrate community and creativity.
Guests were treated to chilled house and Afro-electronic DJ sets curated by Shamba Deejay, alongside short films that sparked thought and discussion. Local visual artists showcased their work, creating an interactive and inspiring ambiance throughout the evening.

The heart of the event was the coffee experience—where guests got to taste Rwanda’s finest brews, learn about specialty coffee, and connect with professional baristas passionate about storytelling through every cup. The vibe encouraged open conversations, collaboration, and new friendships among Kigali’s creative minds.
“Shamba Night is more than an event—it’s therapy. It’s where we relax, recharge, and reconnect through coffee, music, and art,” said Patrick Ruhumuriza, founder of Shamba.
As the night unfolded, it became clear that Shamba Night is building a consistent space for young people in Kigali to express themselves and unwind in a soulful, intentional atmosphere.
Stay tuned for the next edition of Shamba Night—where coffee meets culture, and Kigali comes to life.
